Born in Naples in 1995, Maria Chiara de Nobili holds a BA in Contemporary Dance from Dancehaus Milano and an MA in Choreography from the Palucca University of Dance Dresden, where she also completed the Artistic Master Class Programme (2021–2023).
In 2018, she joined the College Choreographers programme at La Biennale di Venezia, returning in 2019 as a guest choreographer with the full-length creation Wrap. In 2020, she co-founded the dance company Miller de Nobili with Alexander Miller, debuting Momento, which received the Scapino Ballet Rotterdam’s Production Prize. Their works – including PACK, Don’t you dare!, Labyrinth, There was still time, and Hype the Pain – have toured extensively across Europe, supported by institutions such as La Biennale di Venezia, Teatros del Canal, HELLERAU, HAU (Tanzplattform Deutschland 2022), Scapino Ballet Rotterdam, the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, Residenzzentrum Tanz+, Theater Freiburg, Choreographic Center Heidelberg, Agora of Montpellier Danse, Tanzlabor Ulm, and Kuopio Dance Festival.
In 2025, Miller de Nobili was awarded the City of Dresden’s Promotion Prize for Art.
