What information we collect and why
We automatically collect certain information when you visit our website. It could be when you navigate our website, to help us understand how our audience is using our site, or when you sign up to our email mailing list.
When you visit our website
We collect details such as your IP address, the website you came from, what kind of browser you’re using, and what you do on the website, by placing a tracking cookie in your browser. This information is then stored in Google Analytics.
Google Analytics does not collect names, emails or any physical addresses. This data is used solely for the purposes of monitoring traffic to springback.org. All data is kept for 26 months before being automatically deleted. If you wish to opt out of Google Analytics at any time, you can install this opt-out extension to your web browser: tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.
For the Google Analytics Privacy Policy, see here.
Subscribing to our mailing list
If you have subscribed to our mailing list, our service provider EmailOctopus stores a copy of the email address you supplied when signing up (the EmailOctopus Privacy Policy is here).
Your data will be removed if you unsubscribe from the list. You can unsubscribe at any time by clicking the unsubscribe link in any newsletter or email notification, or by sending a request to info@springback.org.
Embedded content from other websites
Posts and texts on this site may include embedded content (e.g. videos).
Embedded content from other websites behaves in the exact same way as if the visitor has visited the other website.
These websites may collect data about you, use cookies, embed additional third-party tracking, and monitor your interaction with that embedded content, including tracing your interaction with the embedded content if you have an account and are logged in to that website.
Who we share your data with
Other than Google Analytics (as mentioned above), we do not share your data with any third parties, including social media platforms such as Facebook, X, Instagram, WhatsApp and LinkedIn.
How long we retain your data
Google Analytics trackers are automatically deleted after 26 months. Contributor names and email addresses are stored indefinitely, unless you requested.
What rights you have over your data
If we do hold any personal data on you (for example, if you are Springback contributor), you can request to receive an exported file of that data. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.
We use reasonable and modern measures to protect your personal data within our organisation but, unfortunately, no data transmission or storage system is 100% secure. If you feel that the security of your interaction with us has been compromised, please contact us immediately.
