Marina Srnka is above all interested in bodies – how they interact and merge, how they are shaped by socio-political forces, and how they are (de-)formed by life. This curiosity shapes all her activities, whether she researches dance, writes poetry, or takes photographs.
She is currently based in Belgium, where she completed an MA in Cultural Studies at KU Leuven and now works as researcher at the University of Antwerp on the DanceMap project. She also has a double master’s degree in CLE – Cultures Littéraires Européennes from the Universities of Bologna and Strasbourg.
She writes about dance for magazines like Pzazz (BE), Dance Context Webzine (CZ), and Maska (SI).
