Anna Chirescu is graduate from Paris National Conservatoire (CNSMD), as a dancer she has worked with various choreographers in France and abroad. From 2013 to 2020, she danced with the CNDC in Angers under the direction of Robert Swinston, performing the Merce Cunningham repertoire in France and internationally.

In 2017, she co-founded the company Lava with visual artist Grégoire Schaller. The company develops choreographic works and performances at the intersection of dance and visual arts. In 2022, she premiered her first piece, VACA and in 2025 the solo KATA. As artistic collaborator, Anna regularly works with artists from other disciplines. Alongside her artistic practice, she holds Masters degrees in Modern Literature (Sorbonne Paris III) and Humanities (Sciences Po Paris). Anna regularly teaches workshops and dancer training sessions. In 2026 she is an associate artist at CCN Aix en Provence. As a dance writer, she started to write about dance on a blog she co-funded cccdanse.com and for other French specialised dance media. She joined Springback Academy in 2015.
