Callysta Croizer is a PhD candidate and performing arts writer based in Paris. She holds a Master’s in Transnational History from the École normale supérieure in Paris and is currently working on a doctoral thesis in contemporary history of dance. Her research focuses on the construction of ballet as a professional artistic field in Brazil.
Callysta writes dance reviews and features for Mouvement and Danses avec la plume, as well as theatre reviews for the national newspaper Les Échos. She also contributes to CND Magazine, the digital quarterly magazine of France’s National Centre for Dance.
